2025 Call for Members

AIRCoDe invites faculty members who are passionate about AI and its potential to contribute to community development to join the center. Members will have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research, collaborate with experts, and contribute to meaningful societal change.

This call will open two (2) positions for ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต ๐—š๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฝ ๐—Ÿ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ (Community Development & Disaster Risk Management) and four (4) positions for ๐—œ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€.

Research Group Leads will guide and oversee research projects within their assigned areas. They are responsible for mentoring members, endorsing research proposals, and strategizing annual research activities. Additionally, Group Leads must actively generate at least one (2) approved proposals per year for externally funded research projects. If a proposal is not approved for external funding, it should be submitted for approval as an internally funded research project within AIRCoDe. Research Group Leads will receive a 6-unit deloading and must meet the following criteria:
๐Ÿ“Œ Full-time faculty with at least two years of research experience.
๐Ÿ“Œ Proven track record of research excellence and subject matter expertise.
๐Ÿ“Œ Contribution to academic and community impact through publications, presentations, or intellectual property development and experience in publishing in high-impact journals

Internal members are expected to contribute to AIRCoDeโ€™s research programs by aligning their work with the centerโ€™s focus areas. They are also required to generate at least one (1) approved research proposal per year aimed at securing external funding. If a proposal is not successful in obtaining external funding, it should be submitted for approval as an internally funded research project. Internal members are entitled to a 3-unit deloading. Criteria for membership include:

๐Ÿ“Œ Active participation in national and international collaborations.
๐Ÿ“Œ Contribution to academic and community impact through publications, presentations, or intellectual property development.

Application Process

  1. Interested applicants must accomplish the Membership Application Form. In addition, should submit a detailed CV, a cover letter explaining their interest in AIRCoDe, and a brief research proposal that aligns with the center’s focus areas.
  2. The submitted applications will be reviewed by the center’s Director and the Vice-President for Research, Extension, Production, and Entrepreneurial Development.
  3. Applications will be assessed based on the applicant’s qualifications, research alignment, and potential contributions to AIRCoDe. Selected candidates will be notified and invited to an orientation session.
